《缅甸版权法》将于10月份生效
版权认知研讨会于2023年8月7日上午在内比都商务部第52办公室会议室以互联网会议形式举行，副局长代表知识产权司司长致开幕词。
共有80名与会者参加了这次研讨会，其中包括知识产权部的负责人以及各部委和版权组织的代表。
知识产权司副司长在开幕词中表示，《著作权法》于2019年5月24日颁布。举办此次研讨会是为了了解《版权法》，并遵守该法的规定，因为该法将于2023年10月生效... ..

Awareness workshop on copyright was held in virtual format at the meeting room of the office No.52 of the Ministry of Commerce, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning of August 7, 2023 and the Deputy Director General on the behalf of the Director General of the Intellectual Property Department delivered an opening speech.
This workshop was attended by a total number of eighty participants including the responsible persons from the Intellectual Property Department and the representatives from the respective ministries and the organizations on copyright.
In the Opening Speech, Deputy Director General of the Department of Intellectual Property said that the Copyright Law was promulgated on 24th May, 2019. This workshop was held to understand the Copyright law and to follow the provisions of the Law as the Law will be entered into force in October, 2023. And, the registration of intellectual property rights will be valid evidence for the right holders if there is a dispute on Copyright and Related Rights. Moreover, the awareness workshops are held with the aim of providing knowledge on IP for the creators and the public.
And then, the Director of the Copyright Division of the department explained the copyright law and shared knowledge on the Copyright and Related rights. Thereupon, the director clarified and answered the questions raised by the representatives attending in the workshop.
Furthermore, the Director General delivered the closing speech. She said that the Copyright sector plays an important role for the development of the State. The Intellectual Property Department has been drafting two rules for the implementation of the Copyright Law and carrying out to promulgate the rules soon. And, she said that dissemination of knowledge is aimed to get the knowledge on Copyright and the main objective of the Intellectual Property Laws is to develop a modernized Intellectual Property System for the development of Business Ecosystem. And, she added that the foundation of Intellectual Property System such as Intellectual Property Laws, the Central Committee on Intellectual Property and the Intellectual Property Agency have already been established and the necessary rules will be promulgated soon, so the basic requirements for the implementation of Intellectual Property Laws are already fulfilled. She urged the respective ministries and organizations for cooperation in implementing the Copyright Law and then the workshop was concluded.
